Care Tips:
Light & Temperature
Schismatoglottis will thrive in bright, indirect light. However, it is also tolerant to lower light conditions.
This plant prefers warm temperatures. They do not like being exposed to cold air as it will damage its foliage.
Watering, Humidity & Misting
Water your Schismatoglottis once the top 2 inches of the soil has dried out. Make sure the plant is not sitting in water and it can cause the root the rot.
Schismatoglottis can thrive in normal household humidity. If the air is dry, the plant can benefit from increased humidity through misting or using a pebble tray and humidifier.
Soil and Repotting
Use a standard well-draining houseplant potting mix.
Repot your Schismatoglottis when the plant outgrows its pot. It grows relatively quickly and seem to prefer space to grow outward. You will probably need to repot to freshen the soil and encourage healthy new growth once a year.
Propagation
Propagation of your Schismatoglottis can be done through pup division. Plant pups will appear at the base of the plant, and these can be split and repotted into a new pot of fresh soil to grow a new plant.
